Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The purpose of the study: to evaluate the tolerability, therapeutic efficacy, and safety of the drugs Vemelcam (injectable solution) and Vemelcam Solutab (oral tablets) for veterinary use in the complex treatment of pain in cancer patients (cats and dogs). Results: the use of Vemelcam and Vemelcam Solutab provided a pronounced analgesic effect in 92.9 % of the animals. Clinical and biochemical blood parameters remained within the physiological norm, and there were no signs of liver, kidney, or other vital organ dysfunction. No adverse effects such as allergies, digestive disorders, or other side effects were observed. Conclusions: Vemelcam (injectable form) and Vemelcam Solutab (oral form) are highly safe and effective in reducing postoperative pain in dogs and cats with cancer.
